This Privacy Policy explains how Best in Gaya (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our website (https://www.bestingaya.com), mobile apps (including Best In Gya on Google Play / App Store), and related services (together, the “Service”).

By using the Service, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:

• Account data: name, phone number, email, password or OTP, profile photo, business listing details.
• Location: approximate or precise location when you allow it (to show nearby businesses and maps). You can deny or revoke this in device settings.
• Media: photos or camera images you choose to upload for profile, listings, reviews, or support.
• Usage & device data: app/version info, device type, IP address, crash logs, pages or screens viewed, search queries, and similar diagnostics.
• Communications: enquiries, reviews, messages, and support emails you send us.
• Payment data: if you buy a subscription or paid feature, payment is processed by our payment partner (e.g. Razorpay). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

3. How we use information

• Provide, operate, and improve the directory, search, listings, bookings, and related features.
• Create and manage your account; verify phone/email; prevent fraud and abuse.
• Show relevant local businesses and personalise content where appropriate.
• Process payments and subscriptions; send transactional notices (OTP, booking, order updates).
• Respond to support requests and enforce our Terms.
• Comply with law and protect our rights and users’ safety.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. App permissions (Android / iOS)

• Location — nearby businesses and maps (optional; app still works with limited features if denied).
• Camera / photos — only when you upload images.
• Notifications — optional alerts for account or service updates.

5. Sharing of information

We may share data with:

• Service providers who host or process data for us (e.g. cloud database/storage such as Supabase, payment gateways, email/SMS providers), under contracts that require protecting your data.
• Business owners when you submit an enquiry or booking related to their listing (name, phone, message as needed to respond).
• Legal authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

6. Data retention

We keep account and listing data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. We may retain limited records for legal, security, or accounting reasons. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise personal data that is no longer required, subject to those exceptions.

7. Your rights & account deletion

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data.

• In the app: Profile / Settings → Delete account (or equivalent).
• By email: write to wasim.naiyar@gmail.com from your registered email/phone with subject “Delete my Best in Gaya account”. We will verify and process within a reasonable time (usually within 30 days).

8. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong password and keep your OTP private.

10. International / third-party links

Listings may link to third-party websites or WhatsApp. Their privacy practices are their own; this Policy applies only to Best in Gaya.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change, and continued use means you accept the updated Policy. Material changes may also be notified in the app or on the website.
